  • Nollywood is not a very well-known term, so out of curiosity I watched this over three-hour film about a Nigerian village that defended itself against the occupation of the land by the oil industry. In Nigeria, oil seems to be the most common topic in movies. What I like about these amateur movies is that the writers obviously don't care about the reviews, and the rebels attacking the servants of the oil industry are shamelessly portrayed as 'the good guys'. And that's perfectly fine; it reflects their perspective. The quality of the acting is somewhat less consistent; I skipped through several scenes.
