  • A great adventure in a growing media format. For quite a few years now, you could find short episodic productions posted on the web, often low budget, often student or fledgling filmmakers with limited financial support. More than some of which are gems in niche markets or genres. This series is An Original Gem Production (CBC's 🇨🇦 streaming service). For such a short (10 min episodes) format, it packs a lot of punch. It has an interesting premise, a compelling threat, well drawn and performed characters, situational humour, good production value. In short, I liked it, and I hope they will follow up on the last episode's teaser for another season. I give it an 8 (great) out of 10. {Fantasy Action Adventure}. Available free on the GEM app.
  • Enjoyable version of the story. Figure with commercials, about 88 minutes of content. The performances were entertaining and the story interesting and strange. Production values were solid.

Put it back on please. I was watching the show on my computer but my old geezer dad wanted me to help him with his tv and I didn't get to finish the show. That's the only main reason I gave it a 7.
  • Great adventure mini show that draws you in fast and holds your attention. Hopefully they continue with another season as the show leaves you wanting more.
  • Warigami tells an interesting story and is one of the best shows on CBC Gem. Love the characters and the action. Story is captivating and you are left wanting more.
  • I saw this series when it aired on The CW as a single two-hour movie, so i don't know what others might have seen online. I knew absolutely nothing about it. It got violent quickly but once the action shifted to the two friends, it was actually more of a comedy and I saw something worth staying with.

As a movie this goes back and forth between serious action and silliness, and it is fairly typical of a superhero film.

Emily Piggford is actually quite likable and apparently good at martial arts, Or that may have been her very capable stunt person.

Kai Bradbury and Akiel Julien are also easy to like and make us laugh.

Miho Suzuki, on the other hand, is quite serious and she can intimidate without saying a word, as was the case in the first scene. She comes across as very strong and capable, and yet the others manage to find her vulnerable side as well.

The fighting is quite well done, and the movie is a little more violent than what I care for, but it gets the job done.

It's not spectacular compared to what usually airs on The CW, but it seems worthwhile.
  • The first "season" (about 60 minutes of actual non-repeated video) is good, but it ends in a cliff-hanger. Unfortunately, these web features done by CBC almost never get a second "season", so the odds are that this is a story that will never be completed.
  • No idea yet how much of which of the 10 episodes will be shown.

Hopefully something that makes a coherent story.

Hey, it is better than watching Big Bother.
