Despite the good picture and acting the beginning of the movie seemed too artificial to me and I even was thinking to stop watching it. However, with full respect to Vasyl Stus's story, I made myself to watch it till the end and now I'm glad of spending my time seeing this picture. From one side it depicts the real face of the rotten Soviet system that was ruling in Ukraine. From another side, the movie shows us the strength of Stus spirit and the whole devotion of the master to his ideas full of faith in freedom and humanity. Thanks to the authors for making the movie on such an important topic.
  • Film just an attempt to disclose Vasyl Stus person. Unfortunately directors are lack of means to discover phenomenon of dissidents movement. And this film also not surprised.
  • This movie shows the real soul of the soviet union how it was - corrupt and vile communists. I'm proud to live in a country where such persons as Vasyl existed and exists.
  • The life of one of the most talented poet in 60th. The struggle and personal fight against the regime.
  • Based on real story, extremely strong and emotional film. There are a lot of episodes that allow to see unspoken history of that time. Actors were chosen by similarity to original historical figures (so some action is wished to be better). The play of the main actors are really amazing.
  • The story about Ukrainian poet oppressed by the soviet regime. Great movie to represent the way of soviet regime practices.
