  • Sovereignty is at its lowest ebb in Quebec as their option is now the butt of jokes since the last referendum. An exemple of this trend is this sitcom, where an independant Quebec is an amusing, cheap failure; Quebecois, it seems, built Canada but cannot build their own country. Ha ha ha.

Politics aside, this is a big, loud comedy that hasn't got an ounce of subtility, in spite of having good actors and a promising idea. It is a nice metaphor about what's happening in Quebec, all things considered.

Yep, 'La Maison Bleue" is precisely what we Quebecois deserve.
