  • The richness of 'Buro Sadhu' is the unique story line. Making is also excellent. Smart photography along with heart touching music are the plus points of the film. Lyrics of the song 'O Pichhla Aakash' is no doubt superb. Use of Rabindra Sangeet ' Nayano Tomare' very significant. Intelligent editing. Lead cast Ritwick is as usual perfect. First love sequence may be played by some younger actor. Anyway debutant director Vik is a promise for Bengali Film Industry.
  • Is there anyone around who has felt depressed, and not succumbed to Old Monk for immediate relief at least once in life? 'Buro Sadhu' (literal translation of the famous rum - Old Monk) is a very relatable tale of the life of Abir, (played to perfection by the inimitable Ritwik Chakraborty) a young man who's struggling with dejection from a failed relationship in one hand and concurrently with his career as a scriptwriter/Assistant director in the movie industry which is not really taking off. The movie touches on the sensitive subjects like Dejection, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder and Alcoholism all very carefully, never going overboard / off-track once. The music and the background score of the movie is amazing, easily the best in recent times. The songs - 'Jawle jhapas na' , 'Askara' and 'Nayan tomare parena dekhite' are already very popular. Direction is top notch, and there's a very intriguing twist in the tail. Highly recommended. Go, watch 'Buro Sadhu' before it disappears from the screens. Thank me later.

Highlights the transformative phase of a youth in a brilliant way.
  • Excellent Direction from a Debutant Director-VIK. He has also copied it very well from Brian Klugman & Lee Sternthal Movie-" The Words". The Film World is small 🙃🙂 isn't it???

Nice Movie & Ritwick Chakraborty you are just awesome.
  • Ritwick Chakraborty's acting, beautiful music and good story wins the show !! Definitely a treat to watch
  • Good And Creative Make . Ritwik as lively n realistic. The direction of the film is contemporary and a welcome break . Except for the first song, others could have been avoided . Chiranjeet's cameo appearance was smart .

Change of Mother ( Actress changing from someone, sorry I am missing her name, to Dolon Roy could have been better sorted out . May be unavoidable circumstances but the difference is quite apparent.

Overall loved the film and expect more such good meaningful films from this combo " actor-director" duo.
  • A film that takes a different turn from the conventional Bengali cinema...smart contemporary story telling, brilliant camera work and music which becomes the part of the story...don't want to reveal much about the story but give it a try, you will surely love it....probably one of the best work of the year.

Really Awesome, Khub Sundor Hyeche Notun Kichur Apekkhai Roilam 😍
  • It brought so many college day memories, cheating with friends during the exams, love heartbreak, drinking alcohol with friends, struggle to find jobs and not sure about career and future. I will not spoil the story of the movie, but it is one of the best I have seen in a long time, great story, Ritwick da was awesome, he is a legend, he acts so naturally, I loved all his movies. All other actors also was great. I will highly recommend this movie to everyone, this will bring back many nostalgic memories.
  • Storyline is fine. Music was trash and not required at all, majorly responsible to bring down the experience. Ritwick is very good as usual. Climax was surprising.
