This is the "pilot". Originally it was a "bit" to promote a video game (an app) where the user attempted to build the highest stack sandwich. The bit, an ad for the game, had Mr. Bean making (or rather attempting to make) various sandwiches (in the end making the most simple single-stack, a thin slice of cheese between two thin slices of bread), was released online on 2/1/2018, but a few months later Atkinson decided to do a whole series of "how to" videos (or at least "try to" videos) with Mr. Bean. The ad was re-released as the new series called "Handy Bean" on 5/25/2018, with a new episode, "Pizza", being released a week later. Episodes have been released fairly regularly since then, about one per month.
