The story is a little bit difficult to follow due to the jumps forth and back in time but at the end the scenes look more and more connected and logical. Time itself is one of the main characters in the movie. Throughout the whole movie I had the feeling how the couple wastes precious time instead of being happy together. At the end they are finally happy together but (of couse) now the resource time has finished. So, the characters need to find another meaning in their existence, in the logic of the world. Another masterpiece from Paolo Genovese which is worth a watch. The actors are very good as well.

The movie tells a story with pieces and bits from the past mixed up with the present. This makes it more interesting to follow. The two cities where the story develops are Milan and Ponza, both beautifully pictured. The actors are all so good in playing their roles! In particular, there is an element of women solidarity, not to be taken for granted, which enriches the movie and improves the story. The best love romance that I had seen in ages.

It flows dynamically although it switches to different time periods and so you must follow carefully to understand which happened earlier and which happened later. Man's beard length is a good time indicator. The story gets under your skin and you live with the characters / actors.
