Just watched this one on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, mostly by the acting which is really strong throughout. Joe Dinicol and Sebastian Pigott have a wonderful brotherly chemistry that is really compelling to watch. The actor that played Eddie's brother Elvis, Zion Forrest Lee, was super fun and did a great job carrying the comedy - I laughed out loud multiple times. The story is pretty slow getting started, but it really gets going in the 2nd half. All of the characters are quite flawed, which was challenging but it reminded me of Cassavetes' films a bit, which I love.
As far as I can tell, they didn't get any kind of studio support on this one, so it's an actual independent film. The low budget definitely shows.. the production is a bit rough around the edges.. but it's really quite impressive what they were able to pull off with limited resources. Most films at this budget level are pretty awful. 7/10 from me - worth the watch I'd say.
