International Film Festival Rotterdam has made the first programming selections for its 54th edition in the Bright Future and Harbour strands.
The festival has selected 13 titles, all world premieres – five in Bright Future and eight in Harbour.

Lena Dunham has set a new romantic comedy series at Netflix, with Megan Stalter & Will Sharpe set to star, Deadline has confirmed. The 10-episode Too Much is the first series created by Dunham since HBO’s Camping, which aired for one season in 2018. Production will begin in the UK in 2024.

Cronenberg’s new feature, a co-production between Canada and France, received €500,000 – the largest amount awarded in this round of funding. Vincent Cassel plays a widower who creates a device that allows you to connect with the dead. Diane Kruger and Guy Pearce also star in the thriller.
