The opening musical sequence has some scenes of slapstick content.
Throughout the cartoon, Hercules fights several creatures, and eventually kills a few of them. Only during a musical scene, he is briefly seen going to fight some opposing men. These scenes are very mild.
Alcmena gets run over by a chariot, off-screen, while rescuing Hercules. We immediately learn that she's been killed.
Hera makes several but mild references to have Hercules dead.

Parts of the cartoon involve Hera who wants Hercules dead, just so she can let her son Iphilcles become king.
The implied death of Alcmena can be little upsetting.
