  • A lightweight pro-feminist comedy about friendship, relationships, sisterhood, sport, and of course patriarchy. And surprisingly well done for a male director ;)
  • Starts with a bang and I was sure to see some great roller derby stuff, but honestly, my two 8 year old twins, can skate better faster and with more punch on a flat track.... This series give the impressions as if roller derby is a game for loosers, which it is in real life defenitly not.

All scenes on the track give you the impression as if none of the actors has ever skated before.

An evening in a teeny roller disco has defenitly more stunts and entertainment to offer than this.

The story has enough inside to make it work, but at the end this thing should be called "Debbie the Girl" and not "Derby Girl" .
  • I was expecting more roller derby and skating but the roller derby scenes are cringe worthy. I enjoyed the storyline and found it funny at times
