The film was originally intended to be released as a short film, but was extended to a full-length feature film in post-production.
A non-profit fan film inspired by "The Crow" movies and graphic novels mythology featuring brand new characters and an original story.
Outside of The Crow franchise, the filmmakers were also influenced by the films Jacob's Ladder (1990), You Were Never Really Here (2017), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Don't Look Now (1973), No Country for Old Men (2007), The Lighthouse (2019), The Swimmer (1968), and The Cranes are Flying (1957).
Principal photography lasted 7 days.
Many scenes in the film contain large amounts of guided improvisation. The scene where Sam (Callie Bussell) meets Vince (Robert Laenen) for the first time was completely improvised; the scenario was explained in a rewrite of the script, and director Matt Szakal just told them where to stand. The take that is in the finished movie is the first take.
