Steph Curry and Klay Thompson struggled through their Game One NBA Finals victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. But Golden State's "Splash Brothers" were in a laughing mood during Thursday's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, making fun of themselves on national television by reading hilarious "Mean Tweets."
"Have you ever been downloading something online and halfway through it just froze and couldn't go anywhere? Think Steph Curry's puberty," said the NBA Mvp. "One day Klay Thompson is gonna leave the house without remembering to attach his goatee that he bought from Party City,...

Stephen Curry won Game One of the NBA Finals on Thursday, but that doesn't mean the Golden State Warriors player is immune to a little online abuse.
In the third installment of Jimmy Kimmel's Celebrities Read Mean Tweets – NBA Edition, the Mvp winner joined other basketball players, veterans and commentators to read some harsh criticism about themselves from Twitter.
"Imagine the damage Steph Curry would be doing in the NBA if he didn't have such a girly name #changeittosteve," the player read on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Tonight is the big night, basketball fans! The beginning of the NBA Finals officially kicks off tonight with Game One between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and while we're not picking favorites, we can't deny that a Warriors win would also provide us with some extra post-game entertainment. The recent playoff games with the California team's press conferences following the games have brought attention to the NBA's most viral star, Stephen Curry's 2-year-old daughter, Riley Curry, who has stolen many hearts around the world with her precious antics (including her short cover of Big Sean's "Blessings"). So that got us thinking, and, including Riley, here are five...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Season 2, Episode 3, “The Jimmy Jab Games”
Written by Lakshmi Sundaram
Directed by Rebecca Asher
Airs Sundays at 8:30pm Et on Fox
It’s competition time again on Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 2 Episode 3, as the team engages in an elimination style tournament called the “Jimmy Jab Games”, an absurd series of competitive events that Peralta helped to spearhead. The Jimmy Jab Games began in 2008 when the President of Iran came to NYC and the Nine-Nine was on call to help with any potential protests. During those nine hours, Jake spent a good portion of that night tossing pieces of bagel into Scully’s open mouth, thus giving birth to the event. Jake makes a side bet with Rosa that if he wins the games she will give him her friend, Katie’s phone number. If Rosa wins, Jake will give her $200 and will never ask her for another phone number again.

The World Series kicked off on Fox Wednesday night, and though early returns are approximate and will shift upwards once time zones are factored in, Fox is safely pacing ahead of last year's performance. Game One between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals, which saw Boston topple its competition, averaged a 4.1 rating among adults 18-49 -- up 28 percent from last year's preliminary returns. Early viewership stats were also up, 25 percent, to 12.2 million. Photos: 81 of Fall TV's Biggest Stars CBS won the race for second place, though Survivor (2.3 adults)

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, October 23, 2013. The game was up by 28 percent over last year's World Series opener among young viewers for Fast Nationals, which doesn't necessarily mean much due to both the nature of live events and the geographic nature of the two participating World Series teams. Stay tuned for more numbers later. The World Series helped take a small bite...

Last month, before his epic war of words with Erykah Badu and after his hometown Oklahoma City Thunder fell behind 2-0 in their Western Conference Finals matchup with the seemingly unstoppable San Antonio Spurs, Flaming Lips' mastermind Wayne Coyne was still upbeat. And not about Badu.
No, despite the (then) overwhelming odds against them, Coyne was confident that the Thunder would not only rally to defeat the Spurs, but would go on to win the NBA championship. In fact, "confident" was probably an understatement.
"Of course, what do you mean 'Can they win?' " he responded to MTV News when we asked about the Thunder's chances of taking home the NBA crown. "They will win."
And we...

hollywoodnews.com: For a handful of reasons, Tate Taylor’s “The Help,” an adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel, feels like it could lay claim to the title of Best Picture frontrunner.
The film has impressive box office stats ($167.4 million domestically), decent reviews (62 on MetaCritic, 75% on Rotten Tomatoes), and at least one cast member in Viola Davis who’s largely believed to be a lock for an Oscar nomination.
“The Help” also is the type of film the Academy hoped to include when it expanded the Best Picture category from 5 films to 10 two years back. There’s no telling how things will land this year, however.
Plus – and this is important – no other film has come along to wrestle the frontrunner status away from “The Help.” That doesn’t mean another film won’t open between now and the end of the year to swing...
