"Tuesday the 17th" is a reference to the real-life superstition of "Friday the 13th". Ironically, if a month starts on a Sunday, the 13th will be on a Friday and the following Tuesday will be the 17th of the same month.
The version of this episode on the Paramount DVD set omits a scene from "Travelogue": The "Ol' Facefull" scene is missing.
Layouts for both episodes were not done in America; they were shipped overseas after the storyboard stages.
In "Superstitious Stimpy", during Stimpy's ritual, he utters a gibberish-filled incantation. Among the gibberish is the name Ub Iwerks, Academy Award winning Disney animator and designer of the original Mickey Mouse.
Supposedly, this episode was originally aired on March 11, 1995 followed by the series' fifth season, but they are forcing to air with a rerun of the series' fourth season finale which premiered on April 1, 1995 after the fifth season premiere.
