As a general rule, the Gay-content features from Icon Male seem to excel when female characters are included in the cast. Perhaps this is because an all-male effort can easily devolve into generic sex scenes.
Shawn Alff works on many projects for distributor Mile High Media, but this is the first of his I've seen in the Gay Porn genre, directed by veteran Chi Chi LaRue. It concerns closeted stud Nick Capra, who is having trouble with his ne'er-do-well stepson Joey (big-dicked newcomer Hunter Smith). He's also cheating on his wife Silvia Saige, with the movie's central character (and narrator) Tyler, played by Wesley Woods.
Plot twists are novel, especially for the finale that is extremely unpredictable. Throughout it all, Silvia gives a fine non-sexual performance among all the studs, adding immeasurably to the story's credibility.
Matinee idol Capra doesn't disappoint, and for once there is a genuine attempt to balance the explicit sex footage with intriguing situations and characters.
