This show follows the adventures of a guy named Wally/Waldo, his friend Wenda, his dog Arf/Woof and Wizard White Beard.
Why they decided to make so many changes to the characters is confusing. Wally/Waldo no longer has a magical walking stick, Woof is now a different species and is called Arf, Wenda is a different race, Oddlaw is now a different gender, with an animal sidekick and as for Wizard White Beard... well he's now a hipster.
The "Wanderers" now travel to different locations in the real world through a magic chest as a pose to going to magical lands via the magic walking stick. Also Wally/Waldo has a magic hat I guess, as it acts similar to Marry Poppins bag, or a bag of holding.
I feel this show appeals more to a younger audience as it's mostly bright colours with fast moving objects.
Lastly the main thing about Where's Wally/Waldo is sections where you actually have to find him. In the original cartoon, finding him can be difficult sometimes, or at least they hide him properly, making it feel like the books it's based on. This show however makes him painfully obvious to see, giving little to no challenge at all.

This show is fantastic and everything you want in show for young children on Sky TV and something we haven't had in a long time. The episodes are actually really educational with every episode being in a different country but also super fun - my favourite episode was the Iceland 'Trolling Through Iceland' episode in the second season. The animation is spot on and so is the voice acting, especially Wally & Wenda. So refreshing to have such a high quality children's animation with great British accents. My child is obsessed and we have watched both seasons 3/4 times, Where's Wally is on repeat in our house! Let's hope they renew for a third season.
When I was a kid, I had a lot of magazines with Wolly, like Discover the World with Wolly and Learn History with Wolly. Then I found out there were books and 1991 animated series. I adored this franchise, it literally made me through the years. It feels like classics, it is something sacred and cherished. And now I see they have made a remake of this golden show with black Wenda. I didn't even watch an episode, I'm sorry. Why do they always have to force black characters, when they are just out of place? Isn't it an insult for black people? Isn't it an insult for white people as well when the original Wenda was white? Why couldn't she be white? White race has been banned? It's stupid, tense and unnatural. I won't watch it.
Why would you change such a perfectly good show into wally being a kid with a lame accent? So annoying. The old show was infinitely better than this pos.
This series 'Where's Wally' is on Sky TV in the UK and follows the adventures of Wally , his friend Wenda, his dog Woof and Wizard White Beard, adapting from the original books we all love. The show is fun, exciting and educational.
The characters travel to different locations in each episode which was really educational for my two young children during the pandemic. My children are age 6 and 8. They love the moments where Wally gets lost and you have 15/20 seconds to try and find him (although this is much easier than the in the original books). Overall this is a fantastic show and I rate it highly.
