• Josh Chang : For as long as I can remember our generation has been told we needed to get good grades and get into college so that we can get a good job. I don't come from money so I had to do what I could to get into college. This involved talking to a snake oil salesman who convinced me to sign on the dotted line, fly thousands of miles from home to get shot at by other poor people just like me, and then fight like hell to get what we agreed upon when I returned home. Once I entered those hallowed halls of academia I chose the path which was most interesting to me. Now I'm being told I made the wrong choice even though no one really knows what the right choice is because that changes at the whims of a fictitious entity known as the stock market. But yes, let's keep putting our trust in a system that relies on people endlessly consuming junk that they don't need and spending money that they don't have, hoping that some douchebags in New York that need to feed a growing coke habit and make a luxury car payment placed the right bet on a shell company moving their money around the Caymans. But I digress. What about my cynicism again?
