If you want to keep your audience waiting to figure out anything from a junk of clues leading to nothing, this movie can be the best example.

Comparing to any other crime thriller of Bollywood, this is average in all counts. You may as well grade below average when it comes to dialogues and acting. With such average acting and dialogues, the average story went somewhat OK with a natural audience expectation of revealing of the murderer at least at the end or leave the audience some obviousness. But all the clues become inconclusive and confusing connecting any of the suspects till the end. The work hasn't been one that can claim much of credits, let alone praise. Clearly it is based/theme-copied from some other film, but it is evident that, this was not done well enough.

If you don't have any alternatives at all (none whatsoever), you may watch without much expectation. Watched it over two days, and realized I simply wasted my time and could have used it elsewhere.
  • This movie could have been a 8 out if 10 had the story ended with revelation of the killer. I enjoyed yhe movie until the ending and was hoping to see the killer but it was just such an abrupt and klpd kind of ending.

This movie is a remake of Bong Joon Ho's masterpiece 'Memories of murder'. From beginning to the climax each and every sequence is being copied from that movie since they didn't gave the credits to the original one. Though it's a remake, the makers fails to hold the audience with the movie. The performances of the movie was just okay except 'Gulshan Deviah', the screenplay looks very weak and the sequences doesn't even looks real as it should be being a Crime thriller movie. It's just a one time watch or can be ignored also. Over all it's a bad remake which should be avoided. 4.7/10
  • Whenever you decide to show CBI, pick a guy who looks smart and good. The main lead looks clueless and brainless most of the times. His frustration at his colleagues is a joke, also conversation with Devika looks so fake!

Don't waste your time and others times in making a movie like this!

Please don't waste your time watching this movie. Writing, acting, camera everything is third class. I watched this movie because i lived in Mumbai, but this movie which is supposed to be a crime thriller, doesn't care about Mumbai, or about police/CBI procedure, and most of all doesn't care about audience. There are many fake reviews on IMDb, rating this movie as good, but it's just a click bait. The story is about CBI enquiry into a serial killer, but the actors are performing worse than tv series CID.. Totally stupid movie, super low budget, the writer/director should be tied up and made to watch it for weeks.. it's that bad.
  • Inconclusive ending. In the end it is somebody did it. and we have to guess. But why and how he did it, the makers dont want to tell us.Thanks for fooling audience.

The trailer seemed promising because of the lead actor so i gave it a try. The movie in the first half creates curiosity and makes you 'think' but as the second half starts you can easily guess what is going to happen. Through the entire second half i kept hoping for a surprise but it didn't happen and as it reached its ending it was too close to "disappointing". But the effort was a decent one , cinematography was good ,plain soundtrack generated curiosity ,the lead actor gave his 100 percent. With little change in storyline of the second half it would have been a better movie.
  • The magic of mystery is when its get revealed your guess gets right or wrong.. But i think director and writer are still finding the killer.

Let them find the killer, don't waste your time watch another movie.

Memories of murder lite version😂if you already watched memories of murder then you can skip this one.
  • Bad direction, useless story...and absolutely rubbish ending.

Guys commenting "it is a loose end". It is not. Clearly Rishabh is the Foot fairy. Isn't it evident from the snow ball on a girl (indicating Russia). The killings stopped because Rishabh was sent to Russia.
  • The movie is losely based on the korean movie memories of murder but the original one is far greater than this one ending is similar missed the mark by miles
  • When you don't have an ending of a story, why to waste your money and people's time. I believe there are many involved in making a movie but ni body dare to stop this project. So pathetic 🤔

It was supposed movie contains suspene, thrill but its very bad movie to watch, Ending is worst
  • The movie is a remake but nothing like the original one

The whole movie they kept wondering here and there and tried to created a thrill which had no result

They remaked but had to give a conclusion as this is Bollywood and people cannot accept this concept of loose ends

    Make what is acceptable
  • This could've been a fantastic film rated highly with a common sense or even a decent investigate approach to atrying to solve the crime. This was utter nonsense-women making up a killer and CBI following it without evidence. If Killings stopped at end, why - absolutely no reason? Nonsense.
  • I liked the movie. This movie has a different genre and the ending is left on peoples interpretation. If you think all the events that happened in the movie you can recognize the killer yourself. But there are two interpretations here, the ending where a girl is hit with a snow ball confused a lil bit. I was very clear who the killer is (Vivaan), but the ending confused me and made me to think about Rishabh too.

    >> I read all the comments here, I would say, people in Bollywood are obsessed with straightforward movies like happy ending love stories. They sadly don't understand the creativity that's shown.
  • The movie is very poorly directed..the artists are below average and their dialogues are like amateur and fake and without any sense in relation to the movie...and the script is poor..
  • This was one of the more surprising movies I've watched recently! I really appreciated a lot of things they did and I was glad to see that it was a faithful tribute to one of my favorite Korean movies, "Memories of Murder (2003);" directed by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite, The Host) it remains to this day one of the most chilling and heartfelt thrillers I've seen. Of course, Footfairy must be looked at for what it is: a passion project and a tribute, not a film to compare to its inspiration.

I see a lot of people complaining about the ending and I hear them: the idiotic cop-out at the end in Russia was akin to tossing black paint all over a just finished painting - I would've loved to see the creators respect their work more.

It was sad to see a good attempt at a passion project ruined in this way, I contend that it would've been much better if the film were left to stand on the foundation that was picked as its original inspiration. And if the people were upset about the climax then, at least they would have a begrudging respect for the filmmakers.

Overall though, for everyone who's upset about the "cop-out" ending, I agree with them. However, for anyone who disagrees with the "true" climax (with Gulshan coming back to the site of the first body) I highly suggest you watch 'Memories of Murder (2003)' to get a better understanding of how an ending like that done masterfully can leave you short of breath.

Ending was very disappointing with no conclusion. Do not waste your time.

May be people watch korean thrillers and gaga over it, but when its made by us, gives faltu ratings, this is perfect thriller of a kind, i loved it

Bollywood audience expect closure. The newer audience is still ok with loose ends but the traditional folks dont.

Based on this I suggest someone to not waste their precious time on this one. The ending was not just a loose end but also a disaster due to the person leaving the job and all happened in last 10 mins.

Acting was good but the story line was not magical.

This movie is an attempt to recreate Sarinui chueok, whis is a South Korean film released in 2003 and attained the status of Cult Classic. However the director lacked creativity and couldn't do much beside simply setting up the story in Mumbai.
  • Waste of time movie...director became clueless to end the movie.

My day got spoiled after watching this movie.

    Please don't watch this..

Waste of time movie Waste of time movie.

You know i really have something to say about this film, when i had to make my IMDB account... I really love Gulshan Sir's acting but there was something very forceful in his acting in the first half of the movie... the dialogues in the movie is similar to what an amateur writer would and no matter how hard Gulshan sir tried to uplift the scene but there was something just very off in the way the dialogues were written... it seemed like some 10 standard boy or college boy would talk with his friends It is very evident that the writer is highly inspired by films like Memories of murder and series mindhunter because it is just smashed on your face but still the first half of the story isn't interesting... and thrilling... the story catches pace after they are closer to the suspect named Joshua i dont know if it is spoiler for some of you from here.... after Kunal roy kapoor sir's entry in the film the story started taking pace... and he did a decent job with whatever he had to offer... I might be bluffing or something but I feel that the writer gave us two suspects in the film at the end... one where i feel at one instance when they were talking about the nail marks on the victim body but they were still suspecting joshua... at the end scene for some reason my eyes were glued to the little scratch mark that inspector Harsh had on the right side of his neck which i never noticed in the entire film... i might be wrong on this... and I feel the second suspect could be Rishabh the other junior inspector because at the end harsh said that rishabh has been shifted to russia or somewhere and at the end, we see a foreigner woman who looked liked she stayed outside India is killed... I might be digging too much but this is what i genuinely feel about the movie... and I honestly its okay if you any future writer doesnt want to take my opinion, but things like get the CCTV tapes and all look very Crime patrol scenes and i just feel like a TV show vibe whenever i watch cctv types scene in a film movie... Sorry in advance, if you may come across my review by accident and feel the words are a little harsh...
