The official trailer for this mobie doesn't seem like it but this is a microbudget indie. I have no problem with that usually, I have found some real gems at this level of filmmaking- particularly the work of director Gus Trapani, whose Bad vs Worse I consider a low budget masterpiece. With tjat said, you have to have the talent, the script, AND the performances to pull it off. This one had two of three. Kind of. The script could be better for sure (so much backstory is attempted to be told in short flashbacks that it becomes humorous), performances are generally ok with the exception of a couple of support characters. The issue is with the director, sort of. The amount of wasted shots and shots that exist only for "artistic" purposes are astronomical. Overall though, it is an enjoyable yet quite flawed ultra low budget effort.
