  • A lot of great shots and cgi they forgot to focus on doing a great story. Feels like a ripoff of Marvel and Game of Thrones in terms of set design and CGI . Not a bad thing as this shows great improvement in the special effects department. What works for Marvel and GOT are the great stories they offer that you forgot these are all but special effects. CGI blends well with the story that it looks natural which the film fails to deliver.

Overall a passing grade but with the efforts spent on cgi, feels like the movie won't even do a break even in the box office. Hope the film helps promote the Magikland theme park to boost up its sale.
  • The visual effects and the cgi is what makes the movie good but the rest of the film is pretty bad. The acting of the main casts is bad, the story is boring the phasing is so fast and unpolished.
  • Concept has potential to be a hit for kids but the main characters are very bad. Lame and poor acting, very un-natural. Could have been better if casted with better acting kids.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Everything was bad! The concept, acting, casting, and most of the jokes that should be making the audience laugh is corny.

Most of the Visual Effects are bad and looks so cartoonish, but most of them are good too.

Only the best thing I saw in this film is the "Fighting Scene at the End" were the four of them fights Mogrodo-Or and then Boy killed Mogrodo-Or and they thought they won, but Mogrodo-Or turned into a big Dragon and in the end he still died because Boy cut him using his sword.

I'm so disappointed with this film, because when I first saw the trailer on YouTube its so good and exciting, but the film is a total trash.

If you have a kid/sibling like 5-8 years old, he/she will definitely like this film. Like this film is only for kids.

But if you're a teen or an adult or let's just say a "MOVIE LOVER" that knows about the movie so much.

    This is not for you.

I bought a ticket to see this MMFF movie in Upstream. First off, it is way more practical to subscribe to other platforms like Netflix. Paying for Upstream viewing is you get to watch the movie for ONCE only, you cannot do rewind. The quality of the video stream is also very poor, it gets pixelated several time as you watch the movie.

Now to the Magikland movie review, the trailer deceived me into believing that this is a movie with potential and very spontaneous. The movie itself is very slow, the plot is lame, the acting of the characters is very mediocre, and the visual effects are very cheesy. This movie is very amateurish compared to RPG Metanoia.
  • The story is unique for me, and the effects of this movie is quite good. If you love RPG game, surely you will like it.
  • This film really suck big time!! I should have went with my guts and just sleep rather than watch this movie. Whoever wrote this film should just sell movie tickets instead of writing a script. Too ugly!
  • First of all 'Magikland' didn't grow well on me. CGI needs a little improvement and why do they feel the need of displaying CGI fight scene? That's completely hilarious. Moreover, the acting was a bit uncooked. I felt like the lead cast don't have authentic and genuine connection with each other. It could've been better if they put a little enthusiasm on what they're doing. Lastly, they focused more of visual effects and backburned the film's story. 'Magikland' was kinda ripoff of 'Ready Player One' but less on visual impact and relevancy of story.

It's kinda terrible film but atleast they tried to stepped out and make something different and that's the biggest achievement of 'Magikland'
