- Many young adults embark on a trip to a mysterious island called "Eden". After the newcomers are offered an innovative drink during a party, things begin to slowly unravel.
- Zoa lives in Barcelona with her younger 15-year-old sister, Gaby, and her father. Her mother also lives in Barcelona but is constantly relapsing with her drug addiction, so they have cut off contact with her. Zoa's father is distracted with women, and so she and her sister have had to fend for themselves and are very close as a result.
Zoa receives a text from an unknown sender claiming to be "Eden," and asking if she's truly happy. The sender then suggests that she could be. Zoa has been selected (based on her social media accounts, but she doesn't know that) to participate in an exclusive island party event to promote a cool new energy drink called Blue Eden. Zoa watches a brief, but intriguing and exciting advertisement video depicting young adults having the time of their lives on a seemingly perfect island getaway and party hot spot.
She decides to invite her best friend, Judith, even though the contract she signed in order to participate clearly specified that uninvited friends were not permitted. Both run off to the party without telling anyone and excitedly get on the party bus. There, they meet Aldo, Ibón, Charly and África (also known as Afrilux, social media queen and famous musician and emcee). Phones are confiscated and they have to pass through a metal detector to board the boat to the island. Judith is caught without an Invitation, but after receiving a special exception, she's permitted to board, and the party continues.
When they get to the island, they receive an electronic wristband, continue partying and start to get drunk, some of the hosts start pairing up with them to show them a good time. Eventually, they're given permission to try the new drink, Blue Eden. One of the hosts makes a mistake and when Judith goes looking for Zoa, she accidentally walks in on another host drowning him in a water barrel, but the friends have gotten separated and the drink immediately starts taking its ecstasy-like effect on them, leaving them disoriented and thinking about the problems they have back at home.
Zoa wakes up on the island, lost and alone, until she's able to make her way back to the beach where they had partied the night before and discovers Aldo, Ibón, Charly and África on the beach, just as confused as she is. They are the only ones left. Everyone else seems to have disappeared. Soon, they find a building and see all of the hosts gathered there in formation, waiting for them. Astrid, the leader, welcomes the new arrivals to Eden.
In closing, a brief scene elsewhere on the island shows Judith waking up confused and being unexpectedly grabbed by the host she had been kissing the night before, screaming as though she has been sequestered.
