The Robbie Williams biopic Better Man now has an official release date from Paramount Pictures. The movie will have a limited release on December 25, 2024 before expanding on January 17, 2025. The movie is the first feature-length narrative project from director Michael Gracey after the hit The Greatest Showman.

The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey's new movie Better Man now has an official release date. Although Gracey struck gold with the 2017 musical starring Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum, he has not directed a narrative movie since its release, with his only feature-length project being the 2021 music documentary P!nk: All I Know So Far. Better Man is a musical biopic starring English pop star Robbie Williams as himself, though it was previously rumored that he would be portrayed as a CGI monkey.

As non-fiction continues to become a priority for streaming services, Amazon Studios has named longtime Amazon vet Brianna Oh head of documentary features.

The newly created role will focus on building out the tech company’s non-fiction feature slate, which already includes docs like the Val Kilmer film Val and P!nk: All I Know So Far. The announcement was made internally last week by Amazon’s head of movies Julie Rapaport.

Oh, who has been with Amazon for over a decade, has credits that range from narrative titles like Emergency and recent release Don’t Make Me Go, as well as docs suc has Amy Poehler’s Lucy and Desi and the upcoming Mars rover title Good Night Oppy.
