Chris tries to adjust to life back with his sister and his friends - but the process proves trying for them. The Kohs, two siblings with a grudge against the Yeh family, decide to use Chris's return to make life hell for them.

News of Chris's return is made public, and Jasmine, Leonard, Riza and Sami have to deal with the impact on their personal lives. But a bigger storm is brewing as Devan, a private investigator, and a reporter, Jonas, start sniffing around. And the truth about what happened at Ubin - or at least part of it - is revealed.

The lies that the friends told about Chris's disappearance 15 years ago come back to haunt them. Jasmine discovers the ugly truth about how her father Robert and his right-hand man Eddie exploited Chris's disappearance. A confrontation between Devan and Chris leads to unexpected alliances and the revelation that the latter has an accomplice.

A sacrifice is needed to appease the Kohs, and Jasmine pays the price. Doubts are raised about Chris even as Sami and Riza get into bed with him, literally and metaphorically. Devan and Jonas team up to investigate Chris's possible connections to an unsolved murder from 15 years ago.

Chris and Riza have to work with an old enemy of Riza's family, leading to a tragic outcome that Chris and his accomplice Mia have to cover up. Jasmine recruits Leonard to uncover the truth about Chris, only to fall out over old wounds. Sami has to choose between her married lover Shen and Chris, who has an agenda of his own.

Riza's guilt threatens to consume him. A bachelor party thrown by Chris of Leonard goes awry but leads to a major revelation that throws everything the friends know about their friend into question. Sami has to beg for help when her ex refuses to take no for an answer.

Chris and Mia race against time to foil an attack against Sami orchestrated by vengeful ex as Jasmine and Leonard's investigation hits far too close to home. Devan questions an unlikely lead that could get him killed while Chris finds some leverage to use against Robert.

Chris blackmails Robert to get what he wants, but his feelings for Sami cause him to change his plans. Devan and Jonas take drastic steps to force the truth out of Robert about Chris's disappearance and the murder of Cassandra Gan while Sami sees something that sows the seeds of doubt about Chris.

Riza tries to take his family and run away from his troubles, but faces unexpected resistance, and Sami's suspicions about Chris escalate. But their troubles are pushed aside when Leonard suffers a devastating personal loss while in Indonesia, someone who will play a major role in the mystery tries to find his way back home.

Sami gives Devan a key piece of information that inadvertently exposes the truth about Chris; angry and traumatized, Sami makes a fateful decision. The relationship between Robert and his right-hand man Eddie start to fracture under the stress of keeping the truth under wraps, with potentially deadly consequences.

The real prodigal son returns, and Chris faces a reckoning from Sami and the others for his deception. Jasmine goes home to get the real story behind Chris's disappearance from Robert and Eddie, only for one of them to throw caution to the wind and undertake a deadly course of action.

The whole truth connecting Cassandra Gan's unsolved murder and Chris's disappearance comes tumbling out as Chris, Leonard, Jasmine, Riza and Sami stare death in the face. And in the aftermath, lives are destroyed, relationships are ended, and things will never be the same again.
