I saw this at a crypto event a couple months ago, and walked about form boredom. I get it, "cats smoke weed and become sentient, OMG!!!", but it just didn't really do anything special. And it was weird having people like Gary Vee voicing characters. Didn't add anything.
  • Here's a stoner concept: Let's make art exclusive again.

Films by rich people for rich people where admission is expensive drawings of cats!

What a great way to bring back the pirate bay...

Nfts, cryptocoin, aiart, and whatever other bullcrap techbros keep so virulently pushing during the last few years has very little to do with art or "making things easier for artists".

In fact, many artists have spoken against that kind of stuff. Their objections are often overlooked or dismissed by the same techbros claiming this kind of stuff is the future and blah blah blah.

This is nothing to do with "accesibility" and more with having a quick buck by jumping at bandwagons which might stick or not...disregard of any type of ethic.

Unsurprisingly, the people who defend this type of garbage are often scammers or people desperate to stay relevant. The "artistic" result is often joyless garbage, but as long some money gained, nothing else matters.

    Typical scammer mentality.

A shame seeing the director of Surf's Up involved in this. That movie was fun and enjoyable. This is the opposite of that.

Horrible unwatchable garbage based on a trashy gimmick that adds nothing.

    Trash, absolute trash.

It was never about the art or artist. This is just for the benefit of a few greedy techbros that really, really loathe everything that does not give them a quick buck.

That awful people rules our world, and this is why we everything sucks nowadays.

Couldn't get funding to make a show about cats that smoke weed so fund it with something as environmentally responsible as burning down a rainforest? Don't make the show. No one needs this.
  • Animation is whimsical and charming, voice acting is superbly executed by an all star cast, and the story is leaning towards the heartfelt relationship between an old lady with Alzheimer's and her cats.

On top, this is the first Hollywood caliber animation to be funded through a decentralized fashion (sale of Non-fungible tokens or NFTs). Remove the middle-man, and power to the artists!
  • Concept is great, animation and music are wonderful, and you immediately like the characters and their (famous) voices. And since the project completely bypasses studio gatekeepers and goes directly to the community that supports it (and other future projects) using NFTs, it's the start of something disruptive to the entertainment industry.

Eagerly awaiting the next episode as a part of the SC community and seeing how are input will shape the project going forward!
