[removes glasses]
Erin Strauss: and they don't think she suffered much. Agent Hotchner, what do you think would have happened if George Foyet had gotten up from that floor? If you didn't kill him?
Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner: [quietly] I don't have to think. I know that he would have tried to kill my son too.
Erin Strauss: That's good enough for me.
[turns recorder off and turns to other two investigators]
Erin Strauss: Any questions?
[both shake their heads]
Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner, I'm so sorry for your loss. And, if you or your son need anything...
Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner: Thank you.

Erin Strauss: [with false solicitude] Are you all right?
Penelope Garcia: [nervous and stammering] I'm just not comfortable with any of this. It's not OK.
Erin Strauss: [sits across from Penelope] What do you mean?
Penelope Garcia: In my opinion? Everyone is asking the wrong questions. Doesn't anyone care what The Reaper did to them? The people he hurt? All anyone seems to care about is... it just isn't right.
Erin Strauss: Do you think Agent Hotchner was acting... agitated or unreasonable?
Penelope Garcia: He... no. No! He... he was freaked out about his family... which, considering what happened, was perfectly reasonable.

Erin Strauss: [Pretiss enters interrogation room where Strauss is waiting] Agent Prentiss.
Emily Prentiss: [snarling icily] Ma'am.
Erin Strauss: We understand that Agent Hotchner managed to separate himself from the rest of the team.
Emily Prentiss: [with sarcasm] He didn't "manage" to do that. When Marshall Kassmeyer was in the ambulance...
Erin Strauss: [interrrupting] ... Agent Hotchner volunteered to ride along...
Emily Prentiss: [interrupting back] ... to get answers before he lost consciousness.
Erin Strauss: Why didn't you go with him?
Emily Prentiss: It didn't seem necessary.
Erin Strauss: Did he tell you that?
Emily Prentiss: [angry] Is that what you're looking for? A way to blame this on him? What good could that possibly do?
Erin Strauss: Agent Hotchner was looking for an opportunity to separate himself from the team, and he found one.
Emily Prentiss: That isn't the truth!
Erin Strauss: He was desperate and he didn't want someone with a clear head to stop him.
Emily Prentiss: Is there a question in there somewhere?

Dr. Spencer Reid: We felt that it would take too much time to get authorization for another operation
Erin Strauss: We?
Dr. Spencer Reid: All of us
Erin Strauss: Don't you mean agent Hotchner wanted that?
Dr. Spencer Reid: No, I mean all of us wanted that. I know what you're thinking and, I agree, it would be easy for us to blame him
Erin Strauss: Easy?
Dr. Spencer Reid: Yeah, why not just say it's his fault and then we can all just forget about it. But, eh, the problem is I have an eidetic memory and that's not what happened

Erin Strauss: [Strauss is questioning Rossi] Once the team located George Foyet's potential apartment, why didn't the BAU enter immediately?
[Rossi is looking down at his cell phone and ignoring the question]
Erin Strauss: Agent Rossi?
David Rossi: [clearly disinterested] Hmmm?
Erin Strauss: I asked you a question.
David Rossi: [holds up his cell phone] Gold is still going up. But knowing when to get out, that's the trick.
[smirks]
Erin Strauss: [irritated, shutting off recorder] What are you doing?
David Rossi: [disgusted] What's the point of all this, Erin? Why?
Erin Strauss: So this never happens again.
David Rossi: [contemptuously] There is nothing a bureaucrat can do to make sure that "something like this" never happens again.
Erin Strauss: So we just wait for the next bloodbath?
