Sex & Nudity

Mild
3 of 5 found this mild
A man is shown resting in his underwear for about 5 seconds.
One mild sex reference.

Violence & Gore

Severe
1 of 2 found this severe
Little onscreen violence, but the outpost (and the film's title) refers to a soldier who was killed in battle, and in one scene, the aftermath of the death of a sergeant (no blood visible, but extremely heartbreaking) is seen with the face visible, with a soldier nearby crying.
Various descriptions of violent acts throughout, along with some brief images of children wounded as a result of collateral damage when the soldiers fired upon suspected insurgents and some images of bodies that are covered up.
The little violence in the film is not graphic, but it is highly emotional due to the reality of it.

Profanity

Severe
2 of 3 found this severe
Constant use of typically salty military language, in context.
The f-word is said well over 50 times, many of which are combined with "mother" (including about 10 consecutive ones over the course of a minute by 3 particular soldiers.) Multiple other variations on the word are used throughout.
S**t and it's variations are also present throughout, with other favorites including "Goddamn" (and it's variations) and use of anatomical terms such as "Ass" and "D*ck" on occasion.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Mild
1 of 2 found this mild
At least 2 scenes of soldiers smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
