When turning on the computer, the computer sometimes makes a beeping sound (loud), and then shows a log of what the computer is doing, this all goes very fast, and is on a black background with white text. This ominous effect and rapid pace of logging may scare younger fellows looking at the computer. Some logs say that things are happening such as errors, warnings, and fatals. These may scare people even more, but all of this is finished when a login prompt appears and you can type a command.
