Francesco Malcom plays the wooden boy who comes to life in this well-made, bawdy adaptation of the fairy tale. With Euro beauties throughout the cast, skilled pornographer Luca Damiano emphasizes slapstick comedy in between the numerous sex scenes.
The wonderful Maria Bellucci has the central femme role, and is crucial to the movie's "Happy Family" ending. One surprise is that Luca has cast himself as Geppetto and has one of the most important acting roles in the picture, carrying the story content. Malcom is a bit much in his overacting impersonating the naive young boy, but his dick is put to work usefully throughout the show.
In scope and budget, it's not as big a deal as several of Luca's earlier movies, like "Hamlet" or "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", but is entertaining as low-brow porn entertainment.
