In a random encounter three women are seen dancing in a fountain in their under garments outside a casino. A soldier scolds them till the women run across the street into the other casino.
In an (optional) side mission the player character is instructed to recruit three individuals to work as prostitutes for the "atomic wrangler" casino. One of them is a robot named "Fisto" referred to as a "sex bot", a man, and a zombie like ghoul. This can be very weird or uncomfortable to the player. Also upon completion of the quest the player can engage in their services. (Sex is not shown or seen as it is implied / offscreen)
There is a crier in the freeside neighborhood urging the player to visit the "Atomic Wrangler" casino. She is seen dancing provocatively on the corner in an outfit that shows a lot of skin. They also direct them to the casino.
The player can recruit a sex bot named FISTO, and he'll ask that the player "assumes the position", and will literally fist them with a black screen. During this short sequence, gears will be heard, and he'll ask if you liked it. One of the responses the player can tell him is "I can't feel my legs". This's purely for comedy and not to be taken seriously.
In the westside neighborhood of New Vegas there's a place called "casa madrid apartments". It basically is a brothel, there's a pimp, and three prostitutes (a woman, an elderly lady, and a homosexual man) which the player is able to pay for (offscreen) sex.
"Sarah" (the woman who runs the Vault 21 hotel on the strip) lets you choose one out of a few rewards for finding and giving her the Vault suits she wants. One of the rewards is to have sex with her.
"Red Lucy" from "The Thorn" located just outside of the west side neighborhood of New Vegas can give the player a side quest and upon completion the player has the option to have sex with her. The player can also come back whenever and however many times they want to have sex with her.(Optional)
All sex is never seen at all as it is completely offscreen / implied. Also it is avoidable as you can beat the whole game without doing it so not a big deal at all.
A few locations/characters offer sexual encounters, although everything is completely offscreen (and completely optional). Also there's no nudity but a couple of cleavage outfits.
There's "Gomorah" a casino with dancers, although they're minor cleavage There are also prostitutes including two "Joana" and "Dazzle" that can sleep with the player. (Optional)

Melee weapons (such as knives or baseball bats) are often seen with blood on them by the end of a fight.
Gameplay consists of alot of gun violence throughout including some sci/fi violence which is more mild (such as laser guns, robots or creatures fighting each other).
Although its not its only purpose, a perk in the game titled "bloody mess" is eventually unlocked and when chosen as a perk it makes deaths more violent with greater amounts of blood.
There is a perk which enables the player to "cannibalize " on a dead body but is not very graphic depiction. Other than this a couple people are implied to be cannibals.
At times while taking damage couple small dots of blood can appear on the screen but these are easy to miss.
Fallout: New Vegas is extremely violent and bloody.
Limbs and heads can be shot or chopped off, with copious amounts of blood splatter.
Heads can explode if shot, spraying blood and brain matter all over the environment.
There is occasional disturbing, graphic violence in cutscenes and scripted events.
The player character can and will find things like mutilated dead corpses, heads on spikes, and people crucified on telephone poles.

Parents should know although the profanity and language is overall infrequent there is mild to strong language used throughout, as well as a couple derogatory terms.
Couple infrequent explicit phrases; "son of a b**ch", "i don't give a...", and "c*cksucker".
Couple locations have explicit graphiti/writing, such as a door has "f--k you" written on it. (These are very infrequent as they are in few locations and can be easy to miss). But one of the loading screens has the phrase "f--- the n.c.r." written on a billboard, this may be seen more often.
Frequent uses of fuck, some characters say it multiple times in every sentence.
Infrequent uses of milder language, such as "S***", D***, A**, and Hell.
Infrequent racial slurs.
There is however an easily accesable mod for pc that removes all strong language: F***, S***, G*****n, and other such things.

This game takes place in post apocalyptic america from a nuclear war. Destoryed/abandoned structures and towns as well as mutated or deformed animals and creatures and the overall feel of the game may be found unsettling or a little eerie at times to players.
Some dark humor. Especially if a player adds the perk titled "wild wasteland" random encounters and easter eggs occasionaly happen and are seen as humorous or quirky but are often very dark.
Parents should know that Fallout: New Vegas overall a lot like the other fallout games fallout games. With this said younger players should be able to play the fallout games.
Ghouls, super mutants, death claws and other beings in the game may be frightening to some.
The violence in the game is intense
Couple of the the vaults and the concepts behind them in the game can be frightening.
The rampant drug addiction could be considered disturbing.
Depiction of slavery.
Gross, irradiated creatures.
While the horror aspects from Fallout 3 have been toned down, and civilization is much larger, the transition from post-nuclear Washington D.C. to an empty desert is rather strange.
