  • Nica Noelle's 2-part feature launch for Sweet Sinner's popular STEPMOTHER series was quite arousing and entertaining, and got me wondering: could this be the longest feature film (admittedly a video) made on the shortest schedule? I'll let the Guinness folks decide.

Fact is that these two parts clock in at a total of 5 hours and ten minutes, with a continuous storyline, and the whole shebang was shot in only three days back in August of 2008. But it is the quality of the performances, both acting and in the sack, that I admired, not Nica's obvious efficiency.

(With both her and rival Jacky St. James' being so prolific in cranking out these deceptively simple, brick-by-brick sexual narratives from a woman's point-of-view I guess we finally have the long- awaited successors to Rainer Werner Fassbinder, 30 years after his death.)

Before dealing with the narrative and content, another admirable wrinkle is featuring prominently both in the credits and a couple of little scenes the talented Anne Marie Rios in Part 1 as a teaser -she takes over the show for Part 2 and does an outstanding job.

Michelle Lay (whose best work seems to be under Nica's tutelage) stars in the title role of Delores, introduced still in her wedding dress on the bed with hubby Jim (played by Czech performer with the mighty Anglo name Jay Huntington, betrayed by his thick accent).

She doesn't want to have sex on her wedding night but instead goes to the kitchen, showing off her bitchy personality by an instant altercation with now step-daughter Page (Tera Dice). Bringing wine back to hubby she relents for an arousing sex scene, featuring foot fetish action and an impressive money shot from our refugee from Prague -aiming at her belly but landing on Lay's neck, Peter North-style.

As Sophie the long-suffering young maid, Rios is introduced scrubbing the bathroom floor, reprimanded by her new boss Delores, who hands her a special brush and instructs her on exactly how to do it. At this point, with Fassbinder on my brain, I realized that Nica Noelle (if she wants to get serious after toiling in XXX so steadily) could do a Lesbian adaptation of the play BENT and might attract the serious attention that has unfortunately eluded her till now.

Sophie makes a pass at Page in the bathroom, both girls dressed in dissimilar but pink outfits, and the incipient lesbian action is interrupted after a smooch when Page is called away by step-mom to greet her just-arrived fiancée Jack (Nica's go-to guy Alan Stafford). Another plot set-up is efficiently injected as older woman Delores meets Jack for the first time at the door and is obviously smitten with him.

Jim, Delores, Page and Jack have dinner together, and Delores grabs Jack's crotch surreptitiously under the table (I would have preferred playing footsie but to each her own). Jack and Page have sex upstairs after dinner and Tera impressed me- it's surprising how few XXX credits she's amassed.

Delores visits her good friend Rachel (guest superstar Stephanie Swift) and they discuss their exes. Rachel has taken up with a younger man (reliable stud Johnny Castle) and Delores is uncharacteristically at a loss for words when she sees how well their May/December relationship is going. She excuses herself, leaving the two lovebirds to do what comes naturally, climaxing in Johnny's money shot on Rachel's backside.

Jim and daughter Page go shopping for her wedding dress, leaving Delores to entertain young Jack. She does that the best way she knows how, after rather embarrassingly accosting him when he's trying to take a shower. This is a very well directed segment, shifting the sex object status visually to Jack (as he jacks off in the shower), and then showcasing Delores's unbridled passion in bed with a younger man.

Maid Sophie cleaning up the bathroom hears them and peeks in at the bedroom door, seeing them together post-money shot and Part 1 ends "To Be Continued" as a cliffhanger.

A quality combination of sex and drama - see my separate review of the even better Part 2.
