Bonnie Says: Poor Pin Thin Kate Middleton Probably Fears Being Called ‘Princess of Pork’, Like Sarah Ferguson!
Click here to view the embedded video.

Poor Kate Middleton! She’s smart, beautiful, married to the man she loves and no doubt fears being called fat, so she’d rather wither away than put some meat on her bones.

Kate did a spectacular job on her Royal Tour of the Us proving to be a warm, empathetic woman with great style. But she also stunned people , including celebrities, who saw her in person– she was so Thin!

Now apparently royal insiders have said that Kate would rather that people be concerned with her dropping lbs, than be criticizing her for gaining weight.

She no doubt is keeping in mind the drubbing William’s Aunt, poor Sarah Ferguson took in the press, when she was married to Prince Charles’ younger brother, Andrew.

The flame -haired Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, wasn’t even overweight — she was curvy.

However, the scathing British tabloid press called her horrible names,...

Sarah Ferguson Tells Jimmy Kimmel She Cleaned Urinals on Her First Trip to the U.S. (Video)
Sarah Ferguson

Sarah Ferguson dropped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12Am Et on ABC) to chat about her new documentary series, 'Finding Sarah,' and about her humble beginnings.

The Duchess of York didn't start out her life as a part of the rich and famous Royal Family. She was a "regular kid," as Kimmel said, who had to pay for her first trip to America by cleaning "urine-alls" or, as we Westerners call them, urinals, or toilets in Squaw Valley.

Ferguson had to hold down three jobs at one time to fund her travels, and her past gigs included escorting children to the ski lift and heating up strudel in a strudel house.

Sarah Ferguson Relives Her Darkest Hour on 'Finding Sarah' (Video)
Sarah Ferguson

Sarah Ferguson -- a.k.a., the original "Fergie" -- talks about her much-publicized fall from grace on the premiere of her new six-part documentary series, 'Finding Sarah' (Sun., 9Pm Et on Own).

The Duchess of York discussed the downside of being plucked form obscurity to become part of the Royal Family, and she relived the scandal that led the media to dub her an "outcast" and the "Duchess of Disgrace."

Ferguson was caught on tape by a U.K. tabloid last year trying to sell access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. Re-examining the event, Ferguson confessed that she was "broke and hurting" when she made the deal, and that she was forced into the situation in order to pay back a friend who was in desperate need of cash.

Sarah Ferguson
When you manage to have both members of the royal family and Oprah Winfrey on your speed dial, well, you're doing something right in life. News about her friendship with Oprah, what she thinks of the queen, and just what was so triumphant about Princess Beatrice's infamous royal wedding fascinator. Sarah Ferguson on Hitting Rock Bottom and Her New Own Show, 'Finding Sarah' (Video)
Sarah Ferguson
Filed under: Features, TV Previews, Celebrity Interviews

When Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, was caught by a British tabloid last year trying to sell access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, she was sure she'd hit rock bottom.

The natural inclination after such an embarrassing incident is usually to slink as far away from the public eye as possible, but not for Ferguson -- instead, she decided to document her redemption in a six-part documentary series on Own (premieres Sun., June 12 at 9Pm Et).

It pays to have famous friends -- Ferguson told AOL TV that it was Oprah herself who suggested she film a show for Own. After the jump, watch Ferguson discuss 'Finding Sarah,' which follows the Duchess as she seeks the assistance of self-help gurus big and small, from Dr. Phil and Suze Orman to a shaman and a horse whisperer.

Ferguson Clears Up Abusive Childhood Comments
Sarah Ferguson
Former British royal Sarah Ferguson has cleared up recent allegations she was abused at the hands of her mother, insisting her TV revelations were blown out of proportion.

In an emotional therapy session filmed for her upcoming TV show Finding Sarah, the Duchess of York broke down in tears as she recalled how her late mum, Susan Barrantes, would slap her and claim that a vein on Ferguson's face was the "sign of the devil", which she tried to beat out of her.

Her sister Jane Ferguson contradicted the reports, insisting she could not recall any such abuse, and Ferguson has spoken out to explain her claims.

In an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan, she states that TV's Dr. Phil McGraw - who was holding the therapy session - was the one who pointed out her mother's behaviour was wrong and abusive. And Ferguson insists a difference between U.S. and British humour and upbringing is what caused her comments to be taken out of context.

She explains, "My mother always said when she was... going up to the sweet shop, 'Sarah comes from the postman', because I had very tight red curls, big blue eyes and I didn't look anything like mum, and that's what I said to Dr. Phil. She also said, 'She's got red hair and a temper and we're going to beat the devil out of her.' That's just mum and dad and the way they brought us up.

"It was just banter. That's what I said to Dr. Phil and he said that's not alright and I said, 'Why isn't it alright?' It wasn't anything at all, but in America, it's a big problem for me."...

Sarah Ferguson: 'I was terrified to do Own show'
Sarah Ferguson
Sarah Ferguson has confessed that she was initially "terrified" by the idea of having her own TV show. The Duchess of York, who will headline Finding Sarah for Oprah Winfrey's Own network, revealed that she hit "rock bottom" following her involvement in a tabloid cash sting last year and did not expect to get back on her feet. Ferguson recalled: "I remember sitting on a flight to Los Angeles and the stewardess came up and said, 'Can I get you a drink, madam?' and I said, 'Give me the bar'. "It does get better. A year ago today, do you think I would sit here talking to you (more)...

Duchess doubtful her TV show could air in Britain
The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson says it's doubtful her new television series "Finding Sarah" could ever air in Britain."I think that Fergie baiting sells a lot of papers in Britain, and Fergie does tend to fall into the traps so could it air on Britain? Along the way, she is helped by experts (and friends of Winfrey) including Dr. Phil McGraw and financial adviser Suze Orman.Ferguson says the most difficult lesson she had to learn was about regret and to accept that she can't change the past. One regret she is likely referring to is the scandal from May of last year where she was filmed by an undercover journalist, posing as an Indian...

Princess Beatrice at an event for The Young Victoria (2009)
Princess Beatrice visited one of her favorite London spots, the Kensington Roof Gardens, last night to celebrate the space's 30th anniversary alongside her boyfriend, Dave Clark. The London hot spot is owned by Dave's boss Richard Branson, who made two thumbs ups as he left the venue. Richard's kids, Sam and Holly, also stepped out to join the fun. Pippa Middleton recently celebrated Holly Branson's engagement to Fred Andrews, but Kate Middleton's younger sister wasn't able to make yesterday's bash. Princess Beatrice has been busy lately wrapping up a year of studies at Goldsmiths College and attending royal events like the Epsom Derby with Kate Middleton and Prince William. Her mother, Sarah Ferguson, meanwhile, is making the press rounds to promote her upcoming show on Oprah's Own network. In a recent interview, Sarah revealed that she and her estranged husband, Prince Andrew, actually still live together in the same English home with their daughters,...

Ferguson Is Debt Free
Sarah Ferguson
Former British royal Sarah Ferguson is proud to admit she is finally debt free.

The Duchess Of York has battled longtime financial woes and last year, she was famously exposed for attempting to arrange a business meeting between her ex-husband Prince Andrew and an undercover reporter for a fee.

But after working with a variety of self-help gurus while filming a documentary series for Oprah Winfrey's network called Finding Sarah, she has finally managed to solve her financial problems.

Speaking to Robin Roberts on U.S. breakfast TV show Good Morning America on Tuesday, she says, "I'd just like you to know Robin that I'm now debt free. So going forward now, we're positive, we're creative, we're going to start again. So this time when I start again, it won't slip through my hands."

However, Ferguson is adamant her lavish lifestyle didn't lead to her money problems, citing her compassion for others as the reason she got her into trouble.

She adds, "Rather than me spending money, it was me playing to the people-pleaser addiction. It was like, 'Oh you need help? What can I do? (Here have some money).' Rather than actually taking steps and looking at, 'Why do I want to try to get everyone to love me by being really generous?'"...

Wiping away tears on camera, Ferguson recalls, "When she used to hit me because I didn't sit on my potty or wouldn't eat, a little vein would come up on the centre of my head near my red hair... It's just the way I was brought up. No wonder I'm so flawed."

Ferguson goes on to reveal she blames herself for the breakdown of her parents' marriage, after Barrantes ran away with an Argentinian polo player.

Fergie Sobs As She Recalls Marriage Woes
Sarah Ferguson
Former royal Sarah Ferguson has tearfully recalled the hell of becoming Prince Andrew's wife, revealing she hardly saw him and once jetted off to Australia in a desperate attempt to be with her absent husband.

Segments of the Duchess of York's upcoming TV special Finding Sarah were aired during Fergie's appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show in America on Wednesday and in one she broke down as she remembered becoming a media target and a national laughing stock as she demanded to be with her husband, who was serving in the military overseas.

She now admits in the documentary series she was not prepared for royal life when she wed Prince Andrew in 1986, but she "worshipped" her husband and still adores him.

But she felt "worthless and lost" as his wife - because she only saw him for 40 days a year for the five years of their marriage.

Breaking down on camera, she says, "I had to learn to be a princess... and it was terrifying. Andrew wasn't there and I didn't know what to do.

"In 1988, when Beatrice was born, I said, 'I want to see my husband,' and I went to Australia to find him. That's when the press turned on me... They started calling me the 'Duchess of Pork' and 'fat, frumpy Fergie'. Stupid me, I believed it.

"They said I was awful and the more I said , 'But I'm not,' the more it spun out of control. It's never stopped since then."

The docu-series, which debuts on Winfrey's new Own TV network in June, also features a therapy session in which Ferguson sits down with top TV self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw and tears up when talking about her parents.

She tells McGraw she still blames herself for their split - when her mother ran off with a polo player - and admits her father's lack of emotion made her feel terrible about herself.

Fergie says, "Every time I got upset dad would call me a sheep's arse and tell me I looked like a clown and to grow up and stop being so silly, so I did and I just shut up."

The series has a few lighter moments - at one point Fergie is seen being driven around London and pointing at Buckingham Palace.

She jokes, "That's my old house... My room was on the second floor."...

Sarah Ferguson Says 'I Blew It' (Video)

Sarah Ferguson's interview on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) was looping all day Wednesday on BBC World News with a sound bite about her not being invited to the much-hyped wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. But she had another, much more personal moment on the show where she confessed, "I blew it," talking about her marriage and her life.

Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew, making her the Duchess of York. That marriage ended in divorce in 1996. Further, she was involved in a scandal about trying to sell access to the prince, and has been reported as having financial problems. Hers had been the last big royal wedding before Prince William and Kate Middleton.

"I had it all and I blew it," she said. "And I made mistakes."

Having watched Snooki safely descend in her New Year's Eve bubble, I was ready to start 2011 with a more edifying spectacle: the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network, the talk-show titan's new venture with the Discovery Channel. The shows that aired over Own's premiere weekend all conformed to Winfrey's admirable philosophy of emotional validation, empowerment and living one's best life. This would probably be so even if she created The Walking Dead. The shows were all well produced, fully realized and not especially adventuresome. Oprah Winfrey has revealed that she had warned Sarah Ferguson away from taking part in various Us reality TV shows. Winfrey Told Ferguson To Avoid Reality Shows
Sarah Ferguson
Oprah Winfrey advised Sarah Ferguson to turn down a stint on Dancing With The Stars - urging her to "rehabilitate" herself before appearing on reality TV.

The Duchess of York hit headlines earlier this year after she was caught allegedly offering access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew to an undercover reporter in exchange for payment.

The former royal family member was left shamed by the story, but was so cash-strapped that she considered appearing on various reality shows - until Winfrey persuaded her to focus on recovering from the scandal.

The TV queen then offered the Brit the chance to film Finding Sarah, a six-part documentary following her progress in therapy, as an alternative to an American reality programme.

Winfrey tells Parade.com, "She (Ferguson) started emailing me and at one point asked what did I think of her doing a celebrity chef show.

"I said, 'That's not going to help you. How are you going to rehabilitate yourself on a celebrity chef show? You should be working on yourself.'

"We had a real moment of connection, watching the tape of her trying to get £500,000 (for access to Prince Andrew). She said she didn't want to go into bankruptcy. I said, 'But when you look at that tape don't you see a morally bankrupted person? The one thing you were trying to avoid, you already are.' She said, 'I never thought of it that way.' I remember the last thing I said to her when I left that interview: 'Don't let me see you on Dancing With The Stars.'"...
