In 1970s New York City, Cleon, a Black man, forms a multiracial gang navigating societal issues, exploring personal struggles, relationships, and the journey that united them into the iconic crew known as The Warriors.

Who were The Warriors? What would happen if Cleon, a Black man in the 70's, formed a gang with people from different walks of life? Who were these iconic characters at home? When they took off their colors. What was the social commentary of the time? Did they have good relationships with their parents? Were they dealing with mental health issues, sexuality, or homelessness? Let's revisit New York City in the 70s. This time it won't take place from the night of Cyrus' assassination. It will be before the gang was even formed. Concepts taken from the original movie, video game developed by Rockstar Games in 2005 and my own personal writing, we will embark on the journey of how they came together to become the beloved outfit that we've come to appreciate. I would like to take this time to heap praise on everyone involved in the original film. We stand on your shoulders. You all paved the way for us to be better at our craft. Thank you for the audacity to make that film and make us feel like we can bop our way through any adversity. You guys weren't good. You were "the best." Growing up, I studied the video game and the movie. I'd always tell myself....If there's ever a Warriors remake and there's an audition for the role of Cleon. You best believe...."it's on. How cool would it be if Mr. Hill, Mr. Gordon and Paramount expounded on these themes! Everyone agrees that it would make an awesome TV show. Bridging the gaps of previous fans of The Warriors, the video game generation as well as the newer streamer generation. Maybe even a video game revival! Who knows? I just wanted to shed some light on an all time classic.
