In an unprecedented move, Disney announced this week that the new film “Flamin’ Hot” would eventually stream on both Hulu and Disney+. Following its premiere at the South by Southwest festival this week, Eva Longoria’s directorial debut about the disputed real-life story surrounding the beloved spicy Cheetos snack will stream on June 9. This will be the first film to receive an initial release on both of Disney’s streaming services.

“Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” has picked up another award on its march to the Oscars, nabbing the feature prize at the 50th Annie Awards, presented by Asifa-Hollywood, on Saturday evening.
In addition to being named the top film by the animation industry, “Pinocchio” led the winners’ list with five trophies overall, including the award for best direction for del Toro and fellow director Mark Gustafson. The stop-motion movie also picked up wins for music, production design (Curt Enderle and Guy Davis) and character design (Tucker Barrie).
Del Toro, who came directly from the PGA Awards where he received the trophy for producing ‘Pinocchio,’ was thrilled to win the Annie for direction alongside Gustafson. “Can I say this? Chloe Bennet and Ronny Chieng have joined the cast of the “Interior Chinatown” series currently in the works at Hulu.
The pair join previously announced lead Jimmy O. Yang in the series. It was ordered at Hulu earlier in October, with the streamer also announcing that Taika Waititi had boarded the project to direct the pilot and executive produce.
“Interior Chinatown” is based on the book of the same name by Charles Yu. Per the official logline, the show “follows the story of Willis Wu (Yang), a background character trapped in a police procedural trying to find his way into the larger story–and along the way discovers secrets about the strange world he inhabits and his family’s buried history.”

DreamWorks Animation has announced the cast, set the premiere date and unveiled the trailer for Abominable and The Invisible City, the 10-episode series inspired by the 2019 film Abominable. Alan Cumming (The Good Wife) joins Abominable alums Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Tenzing Trainor (Liv and Maddie) and Michelle Wong. All 10 episodes of Abominable and The Invisible City will premiere on Peacock and Hulu on October 5.
