Based on the 2015 eight issue mini series of graphic novels from Vertigo / DC (Detective Comics).
Amy Manson and Synnove Karlsen play respectively as mother and daughter, but there is only an eleven year difference between the two.
May 2022: The World War Two era London scenes being filmed on Grimsby Docks in North East Lincolnshire, England are the "Kasbah" area scenes.
June 2022: Filming in High Street, Old Town, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England looks like Victorian era street market scene.
The premise and three of the four protagonists are directly taken from the graphic novel, however their stories and the resolution to the mystery differ. Maplewood's character and setting are also revised.
