A giraffe in a crate gets decapitated by the long, sharp part of a road sign. Its head is sent flying towards a car's windshield, resulting in a car crash.
Fierce chickens attack the characters. The chickens are later killed with a gun. One chicken is tossed out of a window. Another chicken is smothered with a pillow.
A main theme of the movie is that Doug has been kidnapped by a gangster so the Wolfpack will find and deliver Mr Chow who has escaped from prison. If they don't find and deliver Mr Chow, the gangster will kill Doug.
Two dogs are drugged onscreen, and later there is a reference to the dogs being killed while drugged.
A man incites a prison riot so he can escape from jail. Several scenes of police/inmate violence here including people burning things and using prison type weapons.

Phil asks a Chow what he has been doing and he responds with "I've been doing lots of cocaine" (a bag of cocaine is seen but not used). Later in the movie Chow yells out "I love cocaine!"
Several scenes at a rave style party where there are lots of drugs and liquor bottles scattered everywhere.
Several characters smoke at a Tiajuana bar.

The opening 10 minutes of the movie are very intense and include the graphic death of both an animal and a human character.
