Payne & Redemption (2016)

Trivia

Payne & Redemption

Edit
On April 22nd, 2008, 20th Century Fox demanded writer/director Fergle Gibson cease and desist work on the non-profit production of "Max Payne: Payne & Redemption", for unsolicited use of the Max Payne property. Following unsuccessful negotiations, Fergle dropped the "Max Payne" name and continued working on his project.
The film will be distributed for free online.
Initially, the story of Payne & Redemption was written as a 20 minute short, then extended to six 20 minute short films, with the idea that they would come together to form one feature-length piece. This idea was scrapped due to financial difficulties.
Approximately 1260 hours were spent on storyboards, consisting of around 350 shots within an estimated runtime of 20 minutes. These storyboards were then condensed down to around 150 shots whilst still keeping the estimated runtime. None of the storyboards were ever used for the final shoot.
The original Storyboard Artist (Roger Williams) dropped out after re-reading the script, deeming it "sick and perverted".
