Writer/director Osgood Perkins‘ feature film adaptation of the Stephen King short story The Monkey reached theatres last week – and now, a mockbuster from The Asylum called The Jolly Monkey has joined it on the big screen! You can watch the trailer for The Jolly Monkey in the embed above.

With the highest seat in Asgard, Thor carries a deep sense of reassuring strength when tragedy befalls his subjects. He may not rally others as effortlessly as Steve, but the heavenly weight of a god’s words is incomparable.

Steve Rogers and Thor have a lot in common. Regardless of their initial reasoning, both have carried the tremendous responsibility of leading armies of soldiers. They make life-and-death decisions on behalf of others but push themselves to go beyond their expectations of leadership for the betterment of their teams.

But as charismatic as Captain America’s speeches are, he’s only been around for a little over a century. Thor has had millennia more experience commanding, now fully stepping up to command all of Asgard.

It takes a lot of work to keep a franchise alive for decades, and nobody knows this better than the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman. For 40 years, Eastman has shepherded the IP that he and co-writer Peter Laird launched back in 1984, although there’s been ups and downs. Under their company, Mirage Studios, the duo famously self-published Tmnt as an independent comic after being rejected by big names like Marvel and DC, and helped kickstart a movement of grassroots, creator-led books that would become big in the Nineties.

However, the leaks that have come out for The Great Web also highlighted the first seasonal villain, and by all means, it seems like they forestalled the plans of the MCU and Sony movies.

The daughter of Thanos wants to play Poison Ivy in James Gunn’s Dcu. Marvel star Karen Gillan has expressed her wish to join Gunn’s Dcu to play the famous Batman foe. After many MCU actors have joined ranks in Gunn’s Dcu, Gillan could play the titular supervillain in the upcoming Arkham Asylum series.

In an interview, Gillan stated that she would love to play the seductress on screen. More specifically, she stated that she wants to portray the version of Poison Ivy in a relationship with Harley Quinn.

Ever since the MCU came into existence, fans have expected an appearance by Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. It's already been reported in the past that Galactus was planned to make a cameo appearance in Thor: God of Thunder, but that plan was nixed. However, rather than depicting Galactus in his usual form of a gigantic humanoid, or even his Ultimate Universe form of thousands of giant mechanical drones, the movies should consider using his hidden true shape.

As imposing as Galactus' humanoid form is, it would be difficult to communicate the awe of his presence this way in live-action. While comics often take big swings with unusual visuals, the more realistic style of the MCU would struggle to sell a huge guy in armor as one of the universe's most powerful beings. It is here when the Avengers were born, and when Thor first met the mortal hero who he would later regard as a god: Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

But while we wait to see if Cocaine Bear is going to spawn a franchise, the mockbuster masters at The Asylum have unveiled a poster of the mockbuster they have made to cash in on the Cocaine Bear hype: a movie called Attack of the Meth Gator! An exact release date hasn’t been announced, but we can expect to see Attack of the Meth Gator sometime this summer.

We can only assume that Attack of the Meth Gator is going to be about an alligator going on a killing spree after consuming meth, much like Cocaine Bear is about a bear going on a killing spree after consuming cocaine.
