At the station, Al insists that she now be taken off the case. A drunk Robin later goes to Paradise to seek GJ's advice. Matt continues to search for Tui but still refuses to accept that she's pregnant. He heads off after a possible sighting and finds her and her newborn. He doesn't get a welcome reception. Al reveals to Robin that Matt is the father of Tui's baby but the DNA tests also reveal that he isn't Johnno's father. At the café, Robin learns that April Stephens was also a barista and a graduate of Al's program. She then realizes what is really going on and confronts Al.—garykmcd
- After a long time, Robin finally proceeds with Matt's personal interview, shockingly though, his voluntary and unrestricted confession which falls short of the Detective's expectations is nonetheless disturbing. As a result, Robin squashed under the burden of Matt's disclosures and in agonising distress of Tui and her baby's fate is unable to do much. She falls into despair, ending up drunk, and most importantly, off the case once more. Now that Robin is defeated, broken and on her knees, she seeks GJ's advice to heal herself, while in the meantime, Matt begins his all-out and frenzied effort to find Tui. In a final and shocking conclusion, Robin acts on instinct as she confronts the true evil at the heart of her investigation.
