For a first time director, Manish Mundhra has shown that he is here to play a long inning. Siya stands out for its brazen look at the society and its views on a ghastly crime as rape. The cast has indeed done a tremendous job and stand out. The story is heart wrenching and literally makes you stand in Siya's shoes. Don't really know if this is based on a similar titled book available on Amazon written by some Arora guy. Nonetheless, 'Siya' is one story that had to be told on the big screen that is otherwise trashed by worthless stories of ageing superstars. Come on Manish with such more true to life stories.
