The nation's sweetheart Zara Ahuja was last seen at a private party and the next morning she is nowhere to be found. The only person who was last seen with her was her brother, Mukul who despised her existence.

A corpse distorted by acid is found wrapped in a tarpaulin, and is hauled in by a fishing trawler. The media goes ballistic with Zara's mysterious death stirring the entire nation. The cops find that the drugs found in Zara's body match the ones confiscated from Mukul's room and his finger prints are all over the crime scene. Mukul is taken into custody at the Juvenile Correctional Home.

Maverick lawyer, Madhav Mishra is brought in to defend the case but Mukul is not impressed by his turnout. To make matters worse for his opinion of Madhav, his bail is denied. . The media frenzy reaches fever pitch and taking advantage of the situation, Lekha, the public prosecutor proposes to turn the case into an adult trial.

The atmosphere at the Juvenile home becomes more and more inhospitable to Mukul. The walls are closing in on him as he gets to know that the prosecution is proposing him to be tried as an adult. Meanwhile, Avantika finds Mukul's Dictaphone and is shocked to hear the hate he harboured for Zara...Could Mukul really have killed Zara?

Avantika confronts Mukul about the contents of the dictaphone as she's losing faith in her boy. Meanwhile, Madhav and Deep are surprised to find what was driving Mukul to lie in the statement to the police.

Mukul is taken aback as Neeraj decides to testify against Mukul. Fed up with correctional home, Mukul makes a risky decision.

As Madhav and Deep struggle to find a lead that can save Mukul, they make a breakthrough in the case and prepare to meet Mahendra Awasthi's family for further investigation.

In his quest to raise reasonable doubt, Madhav produces three new witnesses in court. He puts them through the wringer and finally pulls out his ace of spades.
