Mr Hanley had already given back his boarder horses. The only ones left were some that he had rescued.
Lobo was 14 years old when he started on Heartland as Mr Hanley's faithful dog. Lobo was played by Nitro, a malamute cross. He found it very hot under the set lights and because no one wanted him to be uncomfortable he was only used sparingly. Sadly, he has since passed away of old age in 2014.
