Personally, I think that this was one of the best episodes of the uneven third season of "Regular Show".
"Eggscellent" starts as an ordinary chapter of this series, but then it turns surprisingly "dramatic" (Or at least, more serious than the usual) Fortunately, this sudden change of mood doesn't feel forced or unconvincing at all, but it rather works as an appropriate moment to display some character development.
Before the extremely disappointing "The Best Burger in the World" some episodes portrayed Benson as a more interesting and complex character, showing both the good and the bad sides of his personality. It was also very nice to see the main characters working together to do something for Rigby (In a sharp contrast with the bullying behavior of those same characters in the mean-spirited episode "Trash Boat")
Even when the end of "Eggscellent" kinda "ruins" the "dramatic" (and heartwarming) effect of the rest of this chapter, I still consider this to be a very solid addition to this series.
