There are plenty of references to death, dying, killing and murder. There is a reference to someone strangling another to death and covering in wildflowers. A boy's family is threatened to be killed and the boy made to watch. There is also a text message that includes "beat the crap out of u" and one referenced later saying "slit your throat til you're dead"

There is a text message using "fking" as a short version of the word f*cking. There are plenty of milder profanities throughout but no spoken F-Bombs.

There is a reference each to a stiff drink, beer and getting drunk. There are people seen drinking in a bar and a woman who is both smoking and drinking in the bar.
