Kang-sook successfully marries Dae-sung. Eunjo, however, is unhappy and acts rebellious in the house.

Eunjo spends many sleepless night at the lab and faints. Dae-sung overhears Kang-sook yelling that she is with him for his money.

Dae-sung reveals that he always knew of Kang-sook's intentions in marrying him. Some customers bring over Daesungdoga's bottles, which are filled with foul-tasting alcohol.

Eunjo tells Kang-sook that she cannot stand her as a mother anymore.

After finding out that Ki-hoon's family is trying to take over his company, Dae-sung dies of a stroke.

Eunjo tries to restore Daesungdoga and asks Kang-sook to give her the money she stashed away before Dae-sung died.

Eunjo collaborates with Hyo-seon and Ki-hoon to convince workers to come back to Daeseongdoga. Hyo-seon nominates Eunjo to lead the ritual for the company.

Eunjo tries to convince a cold-hearted Kang-sook that if she hopes to increase her share in the inheritance, she needs to be nicer to Hyo-seon.

Ki-hoon becomes drunk and, thinking that Jeong-woo is Hyo-seon, accidently tells him that he is responsible for Dae-sung's death.

Eunjo secretly meets Ki-hoon to warn him not to hurt Hyo-seon again. Ki-hoon does not listen and confesses his true feelings.

Kang-sook attempts to run away but Hyo-seon follows after her bus until her feet bleed.

Eunjo faces Ki-Hoon's brother, who confirms that Ki-hoon is his half-brother. Eunjo is shocked and tells him she would have her revenge.

Hyo-seon lets Eunjo read the letter Ki-hoon had left for her eight years ago.

Jeong-woo confesses his love to Eunjo but she chooses Ki-hoon.

Ki-hoon tells his father that he would wait for him until he is out of prison. Jeong-woo decides to leave Eunjo.
