A pair of Forresters are arriving in Los Angeles. Ashleigh Brewer is back as Eric’s (John McCook) niece, Ivy Forrester. She debuts on Tuesday, October 22, in scenes with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy and Lawrence Saint-Victor’s Carter. Brewer originally portrayed Ivy from 2014 to 2018 and briefly appeared on the soap earlier this year. The actress starred in the Australian soaps Neighbours and Home and Away.

Brewer will be joined by Laneya Grace, who’s playing Electra Forrester. The character is Ivy’s niece and Eric’s grandniece.

Stars from two of the biggest vampire franchises in the world have an upcoming project that just got a major release update. 72 Hours, the action-thriller starring Twilight veteran Cam Gigandet and True Blood star Sam Trammell, has officially been acquired by Brainstorm Media and is set for a November 1, 2024 theatrical and on-demand release. This model was popularized during the Covid-19 pandemic, when people enjoyed the option to either watch new movies at the theater or from the comfort of their own home. 72 hours will follow two brothers one an FBI agent and one an international money launderer who must put aside their differences and come together to save their family by saving them from the clutches of a dangerous drug kingpin.

Brainstorm Media has picked up the action-thriller 72 Hours, directed by Christian Sesma and starring Sam Trammell and Twilight actor Cam Gigandet.

A Nov. 1 theatrical and on-demand release is planned for 72 Hours, which centers on two brothers — a dedicated FBI agent and a crypto international money launderer — putting aside their differences and joining forces to save their family.

But a dangerous mission deep into kingpin territory has them facing life-threatening challenges in a race against time. The ensemble cast includes Nicky Whelan and Jana Kramer (One Tree Hill).

“We are so thrilled to be working on 72 Hours with the Toric Films and Grandave teams. Christian is a director we’ve long been a fan of, and this movie has a lot to be excited about: kinetic action, an excellent cast, and a unique take on a classic premise that audiences will love,” Michelle Shwarzstein, Brainstorm Media CEO, said in a statement.

Exclusive: Pierson Fodé (The Man from Toronto) has been tapped for a role in the upcoming film inspired by the story of Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, from 20th Century Studios and Ethea Entertainment, Deadline has learned.

Like Jackson White, Fode will play a love interest of Herd’s. Others cast thus far include Myha’la and Dan Stevens.

Plot details for the film remain vague, as it’s said to be somewhat loosely inspired by Herd’s story. Famously launching the online dating platform Bumble after co-founding and departing Tinder, Herd became one of the youngest self-made billionaires at age 31, when Bumble went public in 2021. While she stepped down as CEO last year, the app continues to be hugely popular amongst the single crowd.

‘Celebrity Race Across The World’ Renewed For Season 2 At BBC

Celebrity Race Across the World has landed a second season on the BBC. The format from Traitors maker Studio Lambert sees pairings featuring one celebrity and a parent, sibling or friend set a challenge to head on an epic adventure on a limited budget. In Season 1, which the BBC said is its “biggest factual entertainment brand of the year to date,” the likes of McFly drummer Harry Judd and broadcaster Alex Beresford were set the task of racing from Africa to the Arctic. Season 2’s route will be revealed in due course. The non-celebrity version has run for three seasons and has also been a big hit for the BBC. Deepak Chopra’s Beacon Media has pacted with Mexico City-based Pirexia Films to develop Spanish-language content derived from Chopra’s vast IP library.

The partners plan to develop a range of Spanish-language properties, but the initial focus will be on Chopra books, starting with “The 13th Disciple,” “The Third Jesus” and “Jesus: A Story of Enlightenment.” The intent is to develop scripted, unscripted and documentary projects.
