I like this show and its light hearted. I don't mind gaining insight from the professionals, but I disagree with some of Dr Brian Russell's views and I find him to be quite arrogant, especially in the Burning Love episode. I usually fast forward the show when he is talking.

serioussharon30 August 2019I watch murder shows nightly. Otherwise I cannot appreciate life. Fatal Vows is almost not serious, yet it is serious and every episode is re-watcheable. This is because of Forensic Psychologist Brian Russell, and Psychotherapist Stacy Kaiser - who provide perspectives from each gender, and can simplify relationship behaviour while a movie projector flashes behind them. They even predict the future for like, no reason. So, even if you've seen the actors play out the story before, hearing Brian and Stacey give their input again, just gets better over time. Eventually, I found Brian to be hilarious and Stacey to be an advocate for males. Both Brian and Stacey have terrible wardrobe people, and on the rare and delightful occasion: they will disagree with each other. The music is soap opera, along with the sultry narration. This show is genuis and better than other shows in it's genre.

jelliphish15 October 2022This show is one of my favorites, however, I have 2 problems with it, the therapists! I will either mute them out or go grab a snack when they start talking. They're both so annoying and it's pretty evident that they hate each other. The woman seems too self conscious and the man tries to use too many long words, ugh! These 2 aren't necessary and this show would be so much better if we didn't have to listen to them voicing their useless opinions on matters they don't have a clue about. They're both just relating info that we already know. If it weren't for those 2, I would have definitely rated this show a 10!

embmw7 February 2020Between the overly emotive narration and the terrible reenactments this show is very much toward the bottom of the True Crime barrel. The so-called professional analysts' commentary adds almost nothing to the story, so it comes across more as what it actually is-- padding to drag out the show to 42-43 minutes. If you're a huge fan of true crime shows and have nothing else to watch you might find it an acceptable time-waster, but there are many better choices in the genre.

fitwrite16 February 2019For anyone seeing "Fatal Vows" for the first time, they may wonder if this is a serious crime documentary or some fictitious story -- the moment they begin hearing the ridiculous music. There's this drummy music, the kind you might hear in a love scene on a sitcom. Then there's the other kind of music, the kind that's associated with stripping. Both runs of music are entirely out of synch with a true life murder story. It's so sappy I've decided to stop watching "Fatal Vows." I'm also not sure about the overly-inserted commentary by the two psychologists. Most of what they say is already known by any viewer with basic common sense. Finally, the posing sequences on a stage, by the key "characters" in the crime, is ridiculous. It's as though the director can't make up his mind about whether the story is a true tragedy or some fictional comedy.

averagebear13 February 2022Worst thing about this show is not the situations but the viewers believing it. True crime drama has become so over done they've run out of real stories, now their just making things up and badly! To the point of the so-called psychology experts trying to diagnose the "villains". It's fine if you accept it for what it is, a make believe soap opera-esque drama but please don't be gullible enough to think any of this is true.

Read the reviews Producers and get rid of this guy so we can actually enjoy your show thoroughly!

He is the world's worst and so pompous, not to mention he can't put two words together without flailing his arms all around in the air. Can't stand the guy which you can obviously tell by my remarks above. If it weren't for him I would recommend the show but because of him I do not. Thank God for the fast-forward button because I usually watch a recorded episode off of YouTube and I can fast forward past him. Yuk
