In a 2017 episode of the podcast Eric Roberts Is The F*****g Man, Eric Roberts, who voiced the talking cat Duffy, said that he recorded his dialogue in the bathroom of "some guy's house" as the bathroom had the best acoustics. However, in a 2020 interview with The B-Movie Podcast, director David DeCoteau (who directed the film under the pseudonym Mary Crawford) claimed that Roberts recorded his dialogue in the actor's own living room in just fifteen minutes.
