The luxury house that serves as Phil and Chris' house is the same home used in two other David DeCoteau films: 1313: Giant Killer Bees! (2011) and Santa's Summer House (2013). It also served as one of the settings for the 2011 adult film Ass Worship 13 (2011).

In a 2017 episode of the podcast Eric Roberts Is The F*****g Man, Eric Roberts, who voiced the talking cat Duffy, said that he recorded his dialogue in the bathroom of "some guy's house" as the bathroom had the best acoustics. However, in a 2020 interview with The B-Movie Podcast, director David DeCoteau (who directed the film under the pseudonym Mary Crawford) claimed that Roberts recorded his dialogue in the actor's own living room in just fifteen minutes.
The closing credits take 7 minutes and 40 seconds of the movie's 85 minute run time. In those credits, the cast's credits are given twice.
As of 2023, this film is one of three David DeCoteau films to be featured on Rifftrax by Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988) alum Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett. The other films being Rifftrax: Santa's Summer House (2018) and The Journey: Absolution (1997)
