  • I was hooked after watching the initial episodes. But after the 5th episode, it all went downhill, and I just forced myself to watch the rest, which took me more than a week to finish the last 9 episodes or the complete season. The initial plot was captivating and very interesting, but once the twist of the story was revealed, everything that came next was so predictable (and silly). I thought it was another quality, smart, and entertaining Philippine produced series, just like HBO's "On the Job" and Netflix's "Amo" but no, it's not. This one is subpar or substandard compared to that two, The ending was anticlimactic and ridiculous. Glad it was over.

This is one of the Filipino TV series that is truly a must see! The first two episodes are mind boggling. JM De Guzman (actor screen name) has always been amazing actor. Kim Chu role is something new and she's portraying her character very natural. Paulo Avelino has always meet the viewers expectation.

The story is interesting and will make you wanna watch each and every episodes. I can say that this is truly a product of the Dreamscape! An award winning story and artists.

It was indeed an excellent series and story to cater to all the international viewers around the world! Well done! And Congratulations to the artists, the Productions and to Amazon Prime!
  • I sat on a sofa with my wife who was fully immersed into the old formulaic Filipino soap. If this was 10 years ago, I would have mocked her life choices. But as a mature Filipino husband who sat through countless of soap episodes in the 90's, I had to give this Filipino's favourite past time another chance. Boy, was I wrong? The same old tired story line of betrayal, revenge, meandering love interests were scattered through out all episodes.

Paulo Avelino as 'Bangis' looked as confused as his character. Driven by revenge upon finding out that he was betrayed by his wife, the latter role played by similarly less convincing Kim Chu, he tried to investigate by contriving with shoddy characters only to find out that he was not the 'man'. The plot and subplots were at times fillers of the episodes. Countless visits to gynaecologist, press conferences and physical altercations are vomit inducing scenes.

Do not expect a character study here. The characters changed aims and goals in almost every episode. I must say though, if the poor story and direction of this series are to be ignored, Kaila Estrada is a promising actress. She was good in it. Her delivery and depth overshadowed the cheap story telling.

The directors, Reyes and Saquin, stayed true to their background with this farce. A YouTube creator could do a better job of reflecting a Filipino societal realism, if not make it more of a film making rather than a series oratorical declamation. This series is neither a statement nor an art form. Be ready to endure a never-ending musical score whether a character is aimlessly opening a taxi door or answering a phone call. I must say Erik Santos provided a beautiful theme song.

After a long weekly two-episode installments in Prime Video UK, I retreated to a corner of that little shanty like a 13-year-old boy who wanted to mock the folks of their life choices. But this was now, the same old telenovela devoid of a total sense of an artform. I sat through it. I respected my wife's choice; after all it is the Filipino's favourite past time.
  • A 12-year old fanfic writer on wattpad could produce a better plot than this overused, regurgitated storyline. I'm amazed by the mental gymnastics that the writers had to go through to justify the decision making of the characters that if it manifested into reality, it would put cirque du soleil to shame. I genuinely thought we were done with the whole adultery plot lines after spamming it for more than a decade- this series proved that idea wrong.

Most of the actors were fantastic, they delivered their lines so flawlessly I was almost moved by it if the words coming out of their mouths weren't so asinine. The series started out good but before it could even hit the halfway mark it plummeted so fast a peregrine falcon would look like a feather tied to a parachute next to it.

8/10 for the acting, I would've given it a solid 9 if Kate didn't look like she was about to have a stroke during tense scenes. A bit more of rolling her eyes and I'm sure she would've suffered permanent eye damage from it.

1/10 for the effort of writing this mess.
