- Damon Salvatore: I'm not big on goal-setting, but let's just imagine a time when you don't wanna kill your best friend.
- Elena Gilbert: Are you judging me? How many times did you try to kill Stefan?
- Damon Salvatore: Elena, look...
- Elena Gilbert: Don't. Every time someone starts with 'Elena' I get some lecture. Everyone just needs to stop telling me that I need to feel.
- [chuckling:]
- Elena Gilbert: I do feel, Damon. I feel amazing.
- Damon Salvatore: I don't want you to be like this.
- Elena Gilbert: Then how should I be? Do you want me to go back to being the scared little girl who... couldn't admit what she wants?

- Elena Gilbert: Yeah. As soon as the queen backs off, I'll be fine.
- Stefan Salvatore: You wouldn't happen to know about the hospital's missing blood supply, would you?
