  • Enjoyable, simple short (15 min) documentary of photographer Chris Killip showing his photos – taken over a series of years – of the tiny English fishing village of Skinningrove, and recounting the stories of the people behind the images.

The film's very simplicity gives it it's power. In a very short time we get insight into a number of things - Killip as an artist, the feel of a town with a dying way of life, the role of the photographer and artist in documenting a changing world.

Almereyda has always had an admirable ability to make interesting films about small details instead of huge drama, and he does so again here.

Not bad for a 15 minute short!
